Formed in Amman, Jordan in 2013, 47SOUL is an Electro Dabke band made up of four members of different nationalities, all with roots in Palestine. Hyping up the traditional sound of the Dabke—which has been a staple of Arabic music for centuries—with analog synthesizers, hypnotic guitar lines, and powerful vocals, this new sound devised by 47SOUL (the band dubs it ‘Shamstep’) has rapidly amassed fans across the Arab World and Europe.
