Nourishing the mind, souls and ears of our guests our is our policy so its only right Cairo Jazz Club differs in sound, style and musical mood each night. Our stage plays host to the most talented musicians in town, not forgetting that we started with only one night of live music a week and now play homage to live music and entertainment daily.
The CJC experience provides a different flavor each night, ensuring all music lovers get a dose of what they’re itching for each week.
A rundown of the CJC stage themes:
JAZZ SUNDAY Our tribute to the jazz greats of old (and not so old!). Jazz classics performed by Cairo's best, with as many interpretations as there are bands. "jazz Sunday" is where you can see the likes of regular performers The RIFF Band, Eftekasat and jazz diva Michelle Rounds.
SATURDAY L'ORIENTALE Oriental classics performed with hi-quality musicianship and a fresh spirit. Regulars to dominate the stage are up-beat ensemble Basheer, Massar Egbari and Salalem along with crowd pleasing appearances on all Saturdays. (belly dancer not included!)
SPECIAL MONDAY Mondays are reserved for some special events, visiting and debuting artists as well as our resident trend setting musicians and DJ's.
Stage History
From the get go, a fundamental essential to the Cairo Jazz Club experience was its stage, instrumental in the evolution of Cairo's independent music scene. Cairo Jazz Club has always platformed fresh talent leading to why most of the city’s top end bands such as Wust EL Balad and Screwdriver were born on that stage. Not forgetting the stage till now is a regular host to the finest live acts in town and may acclaimed international artists from all corners of the world. The Club is rightly recognized as the "capital" of live music in the city.
